What a Review Can and Cannot Do

You are probably here because you have seen the name FXCM and want to know whether it is a sensible place to open an account from Uganda. A review can help you ask better questions. It can set out how the broker describes its services, what its public documents say about execution, leverage, withdrawals and complaint handling, and where those descriptions leave room for doubt. It can compare what the broker says today with what it said six months ago, and it can point out terms that deserve a second reading before you send anyone money.

What a review cannot do is tell you whether you will make money, whether the platform will suit your temperament, or whether a withdrawal will arrive on the day you need it. Those things depend on your circumstances, on market conditions and on how the broker behaves after you become a client. We do not test with real client funds in Uganda, and we cannot observe how a support desk treats an individual complaint. Treat this site as preparation for your own due diligence, not as a substitute for it.

We also cannot promise that what we publish will remain accurate. Brokers change their terms, their funding methods and their entity structures. A page that was correct when written may be out of date by the time you read it. That is why every page carries a date, and why we ask you to check the broker's own documents before acting.

Revision Schedule

Every page on this site is revisited on a fixed cycle, and the cycle depends on how quickly the underlying facts can change. Pages dealing with account terms, fees, deposit and withdrawal routes and leverage are reviewed at least every three months. Background pages that describe the broker's history or its regulatory disclosures are reviewed every six months, or sooner if we learn of a change that affects what we have written. The date at the top of each page reflects the last full review, not the last time someone corrected a typo.

When a change is material, we do not quietly edit the page. We note what changed and when, so that a reader who visited before can see that the ground has moved. If we cannot confirm a fact that we previously stated, we remove the statement rather than leave it standing with a caveat. A review site that leaves stale claims in place is worse than one that admits a gap.

Readers who spot something that looks wrong are welcome to write through the contact form on this site. We do not publish a postal address or a phone line, and we do not accept corrections that consist only of a broker's marketing language. A correction needs a source we can check.

How the Site Is Funded

This site pays for itself through advertising and through commercial arrangements that are disclosed on the pages where they apply. Some links to a broker's website may generate a payment to us if a reader opens an account. That payment does not buy a verdict. It does not buy a higher score, a softer paragraph or the removal of a criticism. Our conclusions are reached before any commercial discussion, and an advertiser has no sight of a page before it is published.

We do not sell reviews, we do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not offer a broker the chance to approve or amend text. Where a commercial relationship exists, it is labelled. Where none exists, we say nothing, because the absence of a label is not a claim of purity.

The site does not provide financial services. We do not open accounts, accept deposits, place trades or hold client money. We do not give investment advice, and nothing on these pages should be read as a personal recommendation. If you need advice about your own circumstances, speak to someone qualified to give it in Uganda.

Sources and Verification

Our facts come from documents the broker publishes: its client agreement, its order execution policy, its fee schedule, its risk disclosures and its complaints procedure. We read the versions that apply to clients in our region, and we note where a term differs between entities. We also use public registers and regulatory notices where they are available, and we cross-check dates and figures against more than one document before we rely on them.

We do not invent licence numbers, registration details, addresses or contact routes. If we cannot verify a detail, we describe it as unverified or leave it out. We do not repeat a claim simply because it appears on a promotional page. Where a broker's own documents conflict with each other, we say so, because that conflict is itself useful information for a reader.

Verification is a human process here. A member of the editorial team reads the source, records what it says and notes the date. A second member checks the draft against the source before publication. When we are wrong, we correct the page and say that we have done so.

Purpose and Limits

This site exists because readers in Uganda often meet broker marketing before they meet independent description. The distance between the two can be wide. We write for people who are considering an account, who want a plain account of what the broker says and what it does not say, and who are willing to read before they act. We are not writing for traders who want signals, and we are not writing for anyone looking for a shortcut.

There are things this team will not do. We will not recommend that you open an account, and we will not tell you that a broker is safe. We will not publish a ranking that is bought, and we will not remove a criticism because a company objects to it. We will not pretend to have tested something we have not tested, and we will not present a marketing claim as a finding.

We are not affiliated with FXCM. We are not the broker, we do not act for it, and we receive no instruction from it about what appears here. If that ever changes, the change will be stated on this page before it affects a single review.
